Manifesto and the Arby’s Foundation have been named a finalist in the 2014 Ex Awards for the Hungry for Happiness mobile tour in the ‘Best Activation of A Cause Sponsorship/Tie-In’ category. Each category’s top Ex, Gold and Silver award winners will be announced in May at the Event Marketing Summit in Salt Lake City. The Ex Awards is the world’s largest recognition program for experiential marketing.
The Hungry for Happiness mobile tour aims to raise awareness about childhood hunger, increase participation in free summer meals programs nationwide, and connect kids at high risk for hunger to free meals during the vulnerable summer months. In just two years, the tour has visited 45 cites serving wholesome Arby’s kids meals to 11,000 kids and donating over $250,000 in local grants to hunger-fighting organizations.
“It is an incredible honor to be nominated and to know the activation of the Hungry For Happiness mobile tour is garnering attention amongst the best in event marketing,” said Arby’s Foundation Executive Director, Kate Atwood. “Manifesto did a spectacular job bringing to life the objectives around design and impact that we aimed to achieve in this campaign to help fight childhood hunger, especially in the summertime.”
“We’re thrilled that the campaign we developed on behalf of the Arby’s Foundation is up for an award,” said Manifesto Chief Storyteller, Tim Dyer. “Childhood hunger in America is a harsh reality — and this experience delivers hope to kids in need and awareness to those of us who need to know about it.”
The 2014 Hungry for Happiness mobile tour kicks off on April 25th in Atlanta.
