Last week, Manifesto and Spreenkler president Romke DeHaan attended Common Pitch NYC, a non-traditional pitch competition and networking event. Held at the Brooklyn Bowl and hosted by consumer advocate Alex Bogusky, Common Pitch NYC brought the country’s brightest social entrepreneurs on stage before celebrity judges. Each team pitched innovative new businesses that use social technologies to facilitate borrowing, sharing and/or trading of things we all need. Out of six teams competing, top honors went to Good Karma For Kids, an upcycled baby clothes subscription service. Watch for Common Pitch to hit Milwaukee this June—with Manifesto assisting local host Spreenkler, in partnership with Common.
