Tech4Change Brand Actualized!

Tech4Change_Logo_2-1024x479 Mercy Corps and Startup Weekend have partnered to create a first-of-its kind event focused on solving some of the world’s toughest problems through technology and entrepreneurship, measured by solutions formulated from the boldest of ideas.

Tech4Change will serve as a platform to encourage new ways to think about entrepreneurship in challenging environments around the globe. The 54-hour marathon event will be focused on developing tech tools for the greater good and creating viable social enterprises that can scale to address global needs

As part of the initiative, MercyCorps engaged Manifesto to build the brand identity and sales materials. Inspired by similar initiatives in the tech space, Manifesto created an identity that merged the essential elements of MercyCorps with the scrappy, fun and innovation-focused look and feel of Startup Weekend.

A Day at the Nike+ TechStars Accelerator

Like most great things, innovation often starts as a spark that, if well managed, can turn into a blazing fire. The Nike+ Accelerator is no exception. Today I had a unique opportunity to begin mentoring at the Nike+ TechStars accelerator in Portland, a new co-branded initiative aimed to propel Nike’s FuelBand through the digital innovation of 10 selected companies that will be focusing on inspiring athletes across the categories of gaming, training, and fitness and coaching.

The 10 teams selected from across the world will be facing a boot camp-worthy regiment, meeting with 100 noteworthy mentors and Nike executives in the first 3 weeks to gain feedback on their idea and hone their launch strategy as they leverage much desired FuelBand API and Nike+ mobile Software Development Kit.

Powered by Red Bull, endless supplies of Stumptown Coffee and beer, each company is laser focused on propelling digital innovation, health and fitness to extend the reach of the already successful Nike+ FuelBand.

This is a formula for success.  There’s a no-nonsense, free thinking, open source mentality that creates an innovative environment for collaboration and ideation.  For Nike, the success will be seen through leveraging brilliant minds to grow and extend FuelBand into new categories and applications, and in doing so, grow brand awareness and advocacy, even among those who are well outside of the traditional Nike consumer.

With the connection facilitated by Summit Series, coined the Davos of Generation Y, TOMS connected with University of Miami to create a custom shoe that drives dollars back to the world's oceans. As part of this cultural platform, we are thrilled to work with University of Miami and their continuing innovation-focused platform to engage everyday citizens around Citizen Science.

An Entrepreneur's Dream — Camp David of The West

Working hand in hand with MiKE and the movers and shakers of Milwaukee, Manifesto helped host a series of events focused on making Milwaukee an innovation hub. Hosting our very own event Mingle of The Minds, Manifesto curated 50 innovators from around the country and the globe to discuss global issues.
