We focus on creating the rallying cry for brands through strategy, storytelling, design and brand experiences. We’re a national award-winning agency with offices in Portland, OR and Milwaukee, WI. And yes, we do all the things that other creative agencies do—drink out of mason jars, adorn our walls with faux stag heads, and occasionally communicate via typewriters and sketch books just to spice things up.

Here, a good story is everything. We are seeking a conceptual Art Director who’s a lead within our creative team. Working on a wide range of clients — from the biggest and most established brands in the world to nimble brands that make our life’s work incredibly rewarding, you’ll develop and architect the creative product that has given us a reputation for cultural disruption.


Get ready to roll up your sleeves and get dirty. As an Art Director you’ll collaborate with our creative team to concept big ideas and develop them into powerful narratives, considering not just how the story is told through words, but images and rich design language. This role covers multiple clients across local, regional and national brands. Nimbleness required.

  1. Incredible design aesthetic and robust samples of smart conceptually-led integrated campaign work

  2. Stellar organizational skills to help manage your own projects

  3. Ability to concept across traditional and non-traditional channels (digital, social, experiential, earned media, etc.)

  4. Stunning portfolio that shows how you get from concept to reality and can articulate it in written and visual form

  5. Mad presentation skills | We’ll want to bring you to meetings to present work to clients.

  6. Hunger for what’s next and new; not just in culture, but new mediums, channels, and design

  7. Ability to get it done | As a nimble team, we’re all doers. We work on short deadlines and limited information.

  8. Resourcefulness | Someone who does their own research and surfaces their own insights and can make the connections most others do not see.

  9. Great attitude | How we get the work done is as important as the work we do; positivity and can-do attitude required.


  • Bachelors Degree or BFA in, Advertising or Design preferred

  • Agency experience as a designer/art director with proven ability to work in groups and independently

  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite programs and Google Suite

  • Familiar with concept to reality design and development; digitally savvy


  • Lead projects under the direction of Creative Director

  • Develop design and conceptual communication from logos to brand identity, advertising campaigns, social media campaigns, employee engagement campaigns, digital video and websites. At times provide support for presentation and pitch decks.

  • Work seamlessly with freelancers and other partners

  • Present your work on client calls and presentations as well as internal check-in meetings

  • Mentor younger team members and grow their skills

Manifesto is seeking a driven, passionate, and curious Strategist/Sr. Strategist who thrives on uncovering human insights that inform our creative approach. This role will support multiple teams across the agency to lead discovery and research, key stakeholder interviews and focus groups, and client immersion sessions. We follow a proprietary 6-step process that guides our work and this role will champion and lead the first 4-steps of our process including Investigation, Articulation, Ideation and Conceptualization.

The Strategist/Sr. Strategist will be responsible for insights, development of KPIs and success metrics, research, audience segmentation and persona work, brand messaging and framework development, and the development of clear, articulate creative briefs that will inform our creative approach and ideation. This role will also oversee brand and campaign planning to guide the deployment of the program to reach the clients objectives and goals.

The Strategist/Sr. Strategist will thrive on complex problem solving and quickly “getting under the hood” of our brand partners to help define onlyness, positioning” and how this translates into a messaging platform.

The Strategist/Sr. Strategist will be a curious consumer of emerging trends, technology and culture and will serve as the function on the team that brings clarity, brevity and simplification to complex business challenges.

This role will help to support and drive new business through consulting and championing these services to existing and new agency accounts.

Grow your craft within our walls. Learn what we know, and get ready to share what you're learning. We are seeking an ambitious video content creator/shooter/editor to join our team as we dive deeper in emotive and cinematic storytelling. 


Ambitious, business-minded with craftsmanship in mind. You'll help create weekly thought leadership and doership content for the agency as well as shoot content for clients in Milwaukee and beyond. Honing your skill, you'll spend your days dreaming up new ways to tell stories, heading out to shoot content and editing it into beautifully emotive content pieces.  


This is primarily a shooting/editing role. But artistry shouldn't outweigh business savvy. We're looking for someone who wants to hone their craft, but knows our goal is to steward client stories first and foremost.

  • Familiar with shooting/editing and camera workflow.

  • Have DLSR shooting experience; or related equipment experience.

  • Production experience preferred (whether agency or production company background).

  • Understand best practices of file storage, formatting and distribution.

  • Dangerous with Adobe workflow.

  • Your greatest qualifications will come in three forms:
