Manifesto is seeking a driven, passionate self-starter who desires to be part of growing the agency by developing marketing tools, establishing a system to quantify the value of brandwork, and building systems to support business development. The candidate will be a natural problem solver, have stellar written and communication skills and an eagerness to learn and contribute.
The Business Development Intern will report to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, and will be responsible for their own project as well as support other business development needs. This role will serve as the driving force that will catapult client sales and retention into a new era. Business relationships commence the moment an introduction is made and it is our commitment that every relationship is treated with excellence and preparation.
This internship will provide the opportunity to be at the forefront of growth, strategy and sales development for a highly accomplished branding agency. By the end of the summer, the BD Intern will bring several initiatives from beginning to completion and present the work in a presentation to executive leadership in the final week of the program.

Business Development Support: Candidate will provide general support and research of inbound leads.

Research Support: Research business development management solutions and possible implementation or refining of solutions we currently have in place.

Nurture Campaign Establishment: Help nurture old agency leads into a 4 week email sales campaign and put prospective clients on a path to getting our publications, furthering their engagement with the Manifesto brand.

Internal Asset Development: Why reinvent the wheel every time we pitch; this position will help to systematize Manifesto assets and case studies and get us ready for prime time for each pitch.

Agency Socials Management: Our socials are the lifeblood of our agency’s creative talent and outward facing aesthetic. This position will help to define the purpose of each channel and the voice of each including: implementation in cadence-specific posts and audience interaction + build a schedule (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).

Manifesto Publications: Between our monthly newsletter and our weekly publication, The Monday Memo, this position will help develop the KPIs (key performance indicators) of success, identify recruitment and goals and support all external agency communication.

Summer Capstone Project: School has a capstone project, so why not an agency? We’re really geeking out on the potential of quantifying the ROI rebranding for our clients. Our summer intern will help us uncover industry research and construct a white paper over the course of the internship and present it at the conclusion to senior management.

qualifications & background

Completed or nearly completed Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Advertising, Communications or similar field

Proven track record to be a self starter, entrepreneurial, confident and resourceful

Experience creating systems and problem solving

Outstanding written, presentation and verbal skills

The ability to think on your feet and juggle multiple projects

Proficiency with Apple products, as well as Google Suite
