It is our ambition to become one of the most sought after branding agencies in America. As part of that strategy, Manifesto is seeking a Business Development Coordinator for the Strategic Partnerships team to support our new business efforts and client growth.
​
The best candidate for this role is a driven, self-starter who desires to be part of growing the agency through 1) developing new business opportunities and 2) marketing and content creation activities. Under the guidance of the Director of Strategic Partnerships, this role will be a driving force and responsible for establishing contact with new leads, qualifying inbound inquiries, identifying organic opportunities for client referrals and introductions, providing market research for RFPs and pitches, developing proposals, and driving internal marketing efforts through owned social channels. They will be responsible for understanding the lead funnel process, identifying client needs and helping frame the proposal using our process.

Business relationships commence the moment an introduction is made and it is our commitment that every relationship is treated with authenticity, preparation, and excellence. While the role will begin with supporting activities, the expectation is to grow into owning a number of leads through the entire sales process.. The candidate will be a natural problem solver and have impeccable follow through, stellar written and verbal communication skills and have an eagerness to learn and contribute.

primary responsibilities
business development

Support the Business Development process by qualifying inbound leads, pursuing outbound leads as needed, setting up qualifying calls and eventually leading them independently

Write effective, detailed new opportunity briefs by distilling core business challenges, objectives, and/or insights to support the Strategy & Creative teams

Maintain timely communication with a 20-35 leads at a time from the beginning to end of the sales process

Proposal support including collaborating with partner management, strategy, and creative on budget, timeline, approach, research requirements and work plan

Department tools: daily maintain tracking tools, proactive in refining for sales processes

Proactively communicate with the Partnerships team on key account growth, challenges, roadblocks, etc.

Ability to learn and demonstrates a strong knowledge of the client’s products, competitors, and industry and strategies for effective partnerships

Oversee case study creation when projects come to completion

As needed, attend client meetings in person

This position will help to uphold the purpose of each channel and the voice of each including: create and schedule cadence-specific posts, engage with audience, maintain a posting schedule (LinkedIn, instagram, facebook, blog)

Manifesto Publications: Between our monthly newsletter and our weekly publication, The Monday Memo, this position will help develop the KPIs (key performance indicators) of success, identify recruitment and goals and support all external agency communication.

qualifications & background

1-2+ years of sales or growth-oriented account management with national or regional accounts focused on branding, integrated campaigns, software sales or similar skill

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Advertising, Communications or similar field

Proficiency with CRM tools, Apple products, Google Suite platforms, Slack, PowerPoint, Excel

Professional, personable and authentic desire to relationship build with partners

Consistently lives out an honest, transparent, dependable and high-integrity work ethic

Proven track record of being: resourceful, a self starter, entrepreneurial, confident and resourceful, individual contributor
